Broken Heart [Iplehouse EID Rebecca boy]

I've been neglecting my dolls photo-wise for a while, even though I'm pretty good at motivating myself to take pictures normally.
But a couple of days ago I grapped Connor and took some photos.

My idea was that Connor is a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. Always joking around and smiling. But he's had his fair share of bad things happening to him, which have left scars inside. He grew up with a mother who, even though she did it out of love, made his life harder than it should have been. He was bullied in school, called hateful slurs to his face. He fell in love with his best friend, Estelle, but it was unrequired.
He has dealt with an on-going depression, but still he manages to be somewhat cheerful. Believing everything will work out in the end. :)

I've probably already mentioned this, but Connor is my most special character. I created him when I was doubting everything and I was trying to figure out who I was. So he became my own kind of therapy, which I still think I rely on. He is on no way a mirror of myself, but some of the feelings and sorrows, we do share.

And here's finally the pictures. ;)

I tend to put a bit of myself in every doll, so I get that, because that doesn't mean any doll is actually like me, I'm glad he's like therapy for you~ it makes him much more special to you and to me too :)

Yeah, exactly! I also think all my dolls (and characters) have a tiny bit of me inside of them. Some more than others. And sometimes it'll be a sore part of myself, so it feels just a bit more important :D
And thank you so much!! :3

  5. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and Connors character. I can really relate to the thought that dolls personalities can be a bit of the owner. At the same time dolls bring joy. And I believe that they can be ones own therapy.
Connor is really beautiful and the tattoos are amazing!
