#ProBJDArtist day

I've been thinking about how to take the perfect picture for #ProBJDArtist Day, but I couldn't think of anything, so I considered not participating. Then I remembered that's not why I should participate. My message is genuine no matter the creativity or skill I have. I support the legit artists that are trying to make a living in this hobby.
I despise the distrust and dishonesty recasts have created. I'm saddened to see how divided and hateful our community has become thanks to recasts.
I hope for a day, where recasts are no longer a problem, but a part of the past!
That's why I support #ProBJDArtist day :)

  2. So true! I so wanted to take a photo as well, but I didn't have any time unfortunately. ;__;"
Hopefully I can do it next year.

  4. I think it is better to show support of the day even if it's just using the hashtag and no photo than to do nothing. It's nice to see the bjd-hobby coming together for this :D

I had completely forgotten about the day, so it was first when I saw pictures on Instagram that I remembered, but I wasn't even home with my dolls! Luckily had a few photos of Voodoo on my phone, and one of them were easy to edit.

    1. You're right. Just showing support of the artists are the important thing. :)
And it makes me so happy to see every who's participated.

I'm really glad you managed to participate somehow :D

  5. When I started with this hobby, I could never ever imagine the harshness among the collectors and the divided issue among the collectors. I only thought that people really wanted the real thing. I have learned a lot since then and can not understand why one would like to buy a copy with all the trouble it can bring, especially on the second-hand market. What a strong unit we would be if we all just could support the artists. But that is in the dreamy-world of mine. I glad that so many show their support! :D

    1. I also never imagined it would become such a rampant problem :/
I'm sad about the hate and harshness, but I refuse to pretend that I'm "neutral" and will accept it.
It would be a nice dream, if everyone could go back to buying legit like before recasts became so common, but I don't know if it'll happen.
Just a couple of days ago some people from Denmark said they'd gone legit, so maybe there's hope? :D

  6. I agree with everything you wrote! I'm really liking this #ProBJDArtist day! I saw someone posting a photo that said something like "I support BJD artists everyday" and I do agree with that, but I still think it's nice to have a day like this where it really shows how united the pro artists are. :)

    1. Yes, I agree that I support artists everyday of course XD But having a day to celebrate and unite us is great in my opinion, especially when there's so many choosing recasts :(
