Resin match fiasco

I've been a mess since the before yesterday, when I received my Impldoll Idol female body.
The resin match to LLT is horrendous! The Impldoll resin is very light and pink, while LLT is darker and much more yellow. There's no way I can use the body for Emma. *sigh*

It left me so confused and sad, obviously. Here I had a body, a beautiful body that fit perfectly proportion-wise, but there's no way I can get the resin match fixed.

So naturally I considered my options.

1. I could get the head and/or the body blushed to match.
Sadly, I travel quite often with my dolls, so it would be chipped in a matter of no time.

2.  I could buy a new head for the body, and a new body for Emma.
This I have considered a great deal, to be honest. The Idol body is gorgeous, and I would love to keep it. The problem is, I don't even know which head, for what character and I would need to buy even more wigs, eyes, clothes, and yeah, it's already stressing me out with the number of dolls I do have.

3. I could sell the body.
Yeah...

It seems like I have no options besides the last one.
I did consider selling the body and buying another from Impldoll with their resin matching service, but I honestly don't feel like going through the trouble of shipping the head off to Korea. EDIT: Whoops Impldoll is Chinese XD

It's just been a disappointment all in all.
I obviously aren't 100% surprised, I knew there wasn't any resin comparisons out there of the two skin colors, but still I had really hoped it would work.

  1. I'm sorry it didn't work out! When I got new hands for Ailene the resin match was awful, but I've been fixing it in photoshop since it's only hands. For a body is way more important that the resin match its somewhat decent.

Maybe you could send the head cap to impldoll? I know its a hassle and you would have to wait a lot, but you would end up with the body you want and a perfect match :)
I wish I could help you with some information, but I've never done hybrids, so I don't know much about resin matchs

    1. Thank you :( It really sucks, when things doesn't match, also even it's hands. It still annoying!

I'm definitely considering shooting Angelesque an email when I can afford a new body again, and ask if I can get the resin match service through her shop. >_<

  2. Oh dear Nikki, what a bummer. It's for those very same reason's my Dollzone head is still without a body. Now I am thinking I will order a Dollzone body instead of the Impldoll one. By the time I post a headcap for a colour match, the extra cost and worry that the headcap would get lost etc. just isn't worth the stress.

I have no ideas to offer you I'm sorry, so I do hope you can find a solution to your predicament.
    Hugs,
    X

    1. Yeah, it was a disappointment :( I should have known better though, since I hadn't found any comparisons at all.
I may end up buying another Impldoll Idol body, this time getting Impldoll to match the body for the head. It's just so a gorgeous body!

      Thank you dear <3

  3. Sorry to read this =S

Impldoll does custom resin match. If the head fits, I will suggest sell the body and order a custom-matched one. I have seen some pretty good results, to be honest!

    1. The head fits perfectly on the body, so I'm really considering buying a new one. I really love the body, though. It's so beautiful!

  4. That sucks, so sorry to hear! :( I really do not know what to say, but I just hope that you can figure out what will be the best thing to do and not stress too much about it. Easier said than done, I know. Musume's idea sounds like a good one! :)

    1. Thank you <3 I'm definitely considering Musume's idea now. Just need to see if Angelesque can order a body with the resin matching service or if I need to order from Impldoll it's :)
